First Groundbreaking Reads Book Discussion
Groundbreaking Reads of the 1960’s and 1970’s is the focus of discussion this evening, Wednesday June 12 at 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome. First, read a book published in the 1960’s or 70’s. While you are reading ask yourself “Is this book saying something new or saying it in a different way?” Be thinking back on the 60’s and 70’s era. We will discuss how the book you read reflects the time in which it was published. Everyone will give a brief overview of the book they read and tell why they think it did or did not break ground. If you are participating in the adult portion of the summer reading program you earn points by participating in the discussion. Join us tonight as we talk about books.
