Public Phone...

In this day of cell phones, one often forgets that many of us still rely on landlines or public phones.  The Library provides a phone for public use which can reach local numbers only.  Our youth often rely on this phone for that “after school check in” or contact for a ride home at closing time.  Usually this works well.  However, if the phone they are calling is a long distance number, such as a cell phone from outside the Lewistown area, then they cannot place the call.  Without the help of a friend with a cell phone, they may be stranded at the library after closing hours.  Please help your child by making prior arrangements to pick them up no later than 6:00 pm.  Or better yet, get your long distance cell phone number changed to a local one.
