Happenings at the Lewistown Public Library – August 17

September Book Sale

The Book Station will be open in September—on the 2nd Saturday, September 12, during the Chokecherry Festival, from 8am to 5pm.  Montana books, rare books and collectibles will be featured.  Be sure and note this date on your calendar as it is a deviation from the norm.

 Be Creative @ the Library

The summer reading program has come to an end.  The final weekly drawing winners and the grand prize winners are now posted on our youth services bulletin board and here on our webpage.  All prizes must be claimed by August 29.  Please express your thanks to all of our wonderful sponsors who made these prizes possible.

Download Audio Books

Download free Audio Books to your MP3 player, Ipod or similar audio device by using the Library’s download station, or download to your own computer for further transfer to your portable audio device.  Follow the instructions here on the library webpage to enjoy over 1380 titles, available for 15-day checkout.  Five checkouts and/or holds are possible at any given time with automatic expiration, thus no overdue fines.  This Montanlibrary2go service is provided by a consortium of Montana libraries and the Montana State Library.

Available titles for download include adult fiction Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout; non-fiction Born on a blue Day by Daniel Tammet; young adult fiction Glass by Ellen Hopkins; and children’s fiction the Emily Windsnap series by Liz Kessler.  A complete list of titles available to download may be viewed in the card catalog by typing in “overdrive”.
