A Library budget planning discussion will be held on Thursday June 18 at 10:00 am.  This meeting is open to the public and will be held in the upstairs meeting room of the Library.

Genealogy Research

Summer is a great time to learn about your family history.  Consider using Heritage Quest Online found on the library homepage.  This commercial database allows you to search for ancestors in the U.S. by logging in with your library card number.  The site contains census information from 1870 through 1930 that may be searched by state, county, a person’s name or year.  There are searchable magazines and books, military records, and bank records. Access to Heritage Quest Online is funded by the Montana State Library and a consortium of library federations.

 Family Summer Reading Program Under Way

To enter the June 23 weekly prize drawing, turn in reading time this week and receive your tickets. Individuals of all ages may participate in this year’s program “Be Creative @ Your Library.”  Aspects of creativity in art, drama, and music will be featured in our weekly programs.  Open to all ages (child to adult), the program rewards time spent reading with weekly and grand prizes.  View the winning numbers June 23 by clicking on “Family Summer Reading Program” and scrolling to the bottom of the page, or check the Youth Services bulletin board at the library.

Wednesday, June 17 @ 1:30, Stories & Craft (Ages 6-12)

Friday, June 19 and 26 @ 10:15, Stories, music and playtime or craft for babies – age 5.

Saturday, June 20 and 27 @ 12:30, Set the Stage with Matt Simpson and Collin Barth (drama skills)

Wednesday, June 24 @ 1:30, Art with Cheryl Bennes.
