Upcoming Meetings

The Lewistown Public Library Board is having several special meetings in the coming days, all open to the public.  A Budget planning discussion will be held Thursday, June 4 at 10:00 am.  On Thursday June 11 at 11:30 am the regular monthly meeting of the Library Board will be held.  On Thursday June 18 at 10:00 am there will be another budget planning discussion.  All meetings are open to the public and are held in the upstairs meeting room of the Library.

Used Book Sale

The Book Station will be open Saturday June 6 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm for your browsing and buying pleasure.  There will be an especially good selection of items as donations are pouring in daily.  Donations are received at the Library during open hours.

Family Summer Reading Program Begins Soon

Registration for this year’s program “Be Creative @ Your Library” begins June 9.  Aspects of creativity in art, drama, and music will be featured in our weekly programs.  Open to all ages (child to adult), the program rewards time spent reading with weekly and grand prizes.  Program activities will begin June 17. Changes at the Library

The library has some new shelving in the adult fiction area and CD and DVD areas. The staff and volunteers are busy rearranging these areas of the library, hoping to improve the display of highly used items.  Making items easier to see, find and check out is just another way of improving service at the library.

Library Services

 Story Times for Babies, Toddlers and Pre-school children will be held the following Fridays at 10:15 – 11:00 am: May 29, June 19 and 26.  Babies and Toddlers meet with Bridgett Johnson in the upstairs meeting room.  Children ages 3-6 meet with Nancy Bostrom in the downstairs youth area.  A playtime and/or a simple craft accompany this time.
